A smoky musky fragrance, similar to Frankincense as it comes from similar regions in North Africa and similarly obtained by incisions in the bark to extract the gum like resin. Historically, and sometimes true today, the resin was obtained from the beards of goats that would munch on its tasty leaves. Popular in the ancient world for its medicinal properties, Greek warriors would take a phial of the resin into battle, using on their wounds as an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory.
It\'s chemical composition is Myrrholic, Cinnamic, Cuminic, Eugenol, Cadinene, Pinene, Dipentene, Heerabolene and Limonene.
It is said to have a powerful effect on pulmonary conditions such as colds, bronchitis, catarrh and coughs, a stronger fragrance and popular in the winter season.
