Thalassotherapy - Sea Water Bathing
Thalassotherapy comes from the Greek for seawater bathing, long recognised for its beneficial effects on a wide range of conditions and ailments, the reasons for its health benefits are widely accepted to be due to its metabolic plasma properties, sounds complicated and it can be, but put simply it means that our bodies saline make up is a near perfect match for seawater. When we bathe in the sea, our bodies naturally crave any minerals, nutrients and trace elements that they lack and it will absorb readily what it requires until it is satisfied.
This is good news for us and furthermore, seawaters electrolytic properties act as a leachate drawing drawing toxins at the same time, this can be simplified by the effect of seawater on metals, they will rust incredibly quickly and break down in much the same way toxins are broken down, although we are made of everything on the planet it is in the right proportions and the metal we contain is balanced to the ocean. The net effect is in balance and we incur only postive effects from this marriage (unless your stranded in the ocean).
